A few months ago we were talking about a sleeping giant that would bring forth change this election season. Well, it's awake. And change is here.

In 20 of 22 key races, voters picked candidates who chose comprehensive reform over anti-immigration extremism. Republicans tried to use immigration as a wedge issue to divide voters in the November elections and they failed.

The message is clear. The elections have signaled a mandate. President-elect Obama has nominated key champions of comprehensive immigration reform to serve in his administration.
